Blobun v1.0.4 - mod.io Integration

🦊Howdy! Coming at you today with a new update to Blobun. As noted in the title, this update adds integration with mod.io. Now you can upload puzzle packs that you've made, and subscribe to puzzle packs other people have made! Thank you to everyone who helped us beta test it. It went pretty smooth, but I'm sure we'll find out about more bugs now that everyone can use it. Let us know!

Check out the game's mod.io page here: https://mod.io/g/blobun

Of note: You don't have to have a mod.io account to download puzzles. You can download them yourself too and put them into the game! Instructions are provided on the "Guides" tab. However, you will need an account if you want to upload puzzles through mod.io. Additionally, you'll need to sign in from within the game to have it download them for you.

Aside from the highlight feature, we've made improvements to the editor and menus, as well as fixed a few bugs. As always, the patch notes are below.

===== IMPORTANT =====

  • We're not updating the demo version any more for now. It does a pretty good job representing the full game already!

===== NEW =====

  • On the Worldpak Select menu, the Worldpak's description and author are now shown. There's also stats about the worldpak.
  • [Editor] Various warnings have been added to the editor to let you know when you still need to do something with a worldpak, ie. set speedrun/dev times or stage themes.
  • [Editor] A new option has been added under the File menu to let you delete the Worldpak you've got open. You MUST use this function if you're using Steam, as Usermade Worldpaks are synced to the cloud and it'll just be re-downloaded next time if you only delete it from the filesystem manually.

===== IMPROVED =====

  • The Worldpak Select menu has been made more compact. Instead of headers indicating what folder a Worldpak is in in the menu itself, the folder is shown at the top of the screen.
  • Expanded the character set available for fonts.

===== CHANGED =====

  • The Title Screen menu has been reorganized some. There's now a menu entry for "Custom Puzzles," and the Contact submenu has been moved to the "Options" menu.
  • The "Open Folders" and "Reload Worldpak" functionalities of the Worldpak Select menu have been moved to the new "Custom Puzzles" menu.
  • [Editor] Removed unused variables in the worldpak format.
  • [Editor] The default amount of stages that need to be beaten in new worlds is now 0.
  • [Editor] The default amount of hint tiles in new stages is now 0.
  • [Editor] Character limits are now enforced across text fields.
  • [Editor] Stephanie no longer does her intro animation when you go to record the solution to a puzzle. This allows you to start moving a lot faster.
  • [Editor] The default size for new puzzles has been changed from 12x12 to 12x8.

===== BUG FIXES =====

  • Fixed bugs with the game's error handler.
  • Loading a worldpak from a future version of Blobun will no longer crash the game.
  • Fixed a bug where lasers would pass through warehouse boxes. Now lasers will always be blocked by warehouse boxes.
  • Fixed a bug where enemy spikes wouldn't be destroyed if they went into the path of a laser (unless the player then undid their move.)
  • [Editor] Fixed a bug where Stephanie would be converted back to her start state when editing the puzzle layout.
  • [Editor] Fixed an oversight where you could change what state Stephanie starts in without marking the puzzle as needing a new solution recorded.

===== NOTES =====

  • Fixed a very specific issue with a player puzzle with cameras not aligning until Stephanie made her first move.
  • Fixed a bug where, on the Worldpak Select screen, it could show a checkmark on multiple worldpaks if you have two of the same one in two different folders.
