The Slime's Curse
Stephanie is an explorer and adventurer. One day, she comes across a magical amulet, which seems to be turning water into slime. Her curiosity gets the best of her and, after touching it, she gets turned into slime too! Now, with the help of her girlfriend Audrey, she must travel across the entirety of Mythandra, searching for a way to free herself of this curse. A witch in a remote forest is rumored to be able to help, but will they find their way there? Or, will Stephanie get accustomed to her new form?
Solving Puzzles
In Blobun, you'll solve numerous grid-based puzzles across a variety of worlds. The goal is simple: To complete the puzzle, touch every tile! However, you'll find that it's not so simple. Many obstacles will get in your way, from dangerous lasers, to deadly lava. You'll have to keep your wits about you as you move through each puzzle!
Puzzle Elements
Throughout your journey, you'll come across many different puzzle elements that will block your progress. There are floating keys that toggle blocks on the playfield, conveyer belts that push you in a certain direction, cracked floors that break as you move on them and more! You'll have to keep track of what does what and plan out your path accordingly.
State Changes
In some puzzles, you'll find floating tokens that allow you to change your state! Change to the Ice state to be able to skate on water, or the Fire state to move safely across lava. You'll even find a state that makes you stop leaving slime everywhere. How will you touch every tile now?
Features
- Solve numerous puzzles and come across many different puzzle elements as you progress through each world. Every world is different, so the game will remain fresh and engaging.
- Change your state between Fire, Ice, Electric and more. Each state opens up new possibilities!
- High resolution art that looks great on any display.
- Made a wrong move? You can undo mistakes and try again. There's no time limit either, so feel free to experiment and take as long as you like.
- If a puzzle is too hard, you can skip it! You only need to solve a certain amount of puzzles to progress.
- Keyboard and mouse support, as well as support for many popular gamepads.
Why Early Access
The game is nearing completion, but we still have room to get feedback and financial support! If you buy this Early Access version, you'll help fund the completion of the game, and you'll also get all updates to the game in the future (Excluding any potential DLC.) You will not have to purchase the game on Itch again once it releases!
Players who purchased the game by itself will also receive a Steam key!* The game will be available to download on Steam on launch.
*If you got this game through the California Fire Relief Bundle, or through the itch rewards system, you wont get a Steam key, sorry.
Development Progress
(As of February 22th 2025)
The game is nearly complete! One world's background isn't complete, the last four worlds need their music to be implemented into the game (but they're nearly or fully complete,) and the end game cutscene needs to be implemented. Otherwise, the game is how it will be for release!
Please see our Puzzle Progress Tracker to see how it's going and what we still need to do. (Note: We know that it doesn't have translated language strings, but as the game is almost done, we're not fixing it since it'll be removed soon anyways.)
Puzzles Implemented: 115/120
Save game progress will be maintained between builds. However, if you get 100%, that'll go down as puzzles are added, since you can't complete puzzles that don't exist yet.
Planned Release Date: March 12th, 2025.

I’m having a wonderful time with this game. I thought I’d start it up and play a couple levels before bed. Now the sun’s about to come up. D:
🪐We're glad you're having fun! But be sure to sleep too
Very nice game i really enjoyed playing some of it. my favorite thing is how clean the UI looks, it reminds me of mario maker in a way :)
🦌thank you! we actually did take some inspiration from Super Mario Bros. Wonder's UI. We had a kinda chunky with big border and shadow style going already and were trying to figure out what to do with it, when a friend was like "it looks like Wonder" and we were like, oh yea it does huh
Why is there no level editor ):
This game would be so much better with a level editor
🦌there is one! it's just definitely not ready for everyone to mess around with it, and wont be in time for release. It *is* accessible from the Early Access version of the game though with Shift+Esc, but there's a bit of a learning curve as well as bugs and weird quirks/crashes
ok
I can see why it's not in the menu now, because OH BOY IT'S JUST WAY TOO HARD TO USE PROPERLY like really why can't I just make levels????? Why can't I place tiles in the level editor????
🪐You can't edit the puzzles that come with the game. You'll have to go to File->Swap Worldpak->Create Worldpak. This will let you get started, but be sure to save frequently as the game may crash at any time
Oh.
XD Lol why didn't I notice that 'Swap Worldpak' button before???
Anyways, beyond that, it's more user-friendly then I thought. There's a little box where you can place tiles with (which I am used to on other level editor games like Mario Maker 2) and it's just very easy to use (for me).
For some reason, I've used the level editor for a while and I haven't seemed to notice any bugs or crashes, which is a bit weird considering your warning to 'save frequently as the game may crash at any time'.
So far, I've made my first Worldpak and my first World in it is officially complete (but there's still more to be done in it cuz it takes TIME)
Thanks for telling me this, you basically just gave me the key needed to actually use the level editor.
🦝heck yea! glad you're having fun with it!
we just warned about it crashing because like, the regular game gets bug tested and checked out a lot to make sure it all works but the level editor doesn't get the same treatment, so like, maybe it'll be fine, but you may also find some weird thing in it. Glad to hear that it's easy to use though! Interested to see what you make
Looks pretty
🦨thank you!
I laugh, I cried, I blobbed Bun.
I love this game, it's filled with some real fun puzzles and the theme is charming.
I hope we get to see some more levels and fun gimmicks in the final version.
🦊Thank you! Yea, we haven't met our goal of 120 puzzles but, if the game does well, we can always add more either with updates or DLC. We have quite a few more ideas for puzzle elements but decided to cut it off with what we have here, because it's already a lot
A bunny made out of slime? Heck yeah! I had a lot of fun, laughs, and moments my brain was hurting as you'll see in my Gameplay:
Thank you for this fun experience Jess! I plan to play more of it as it's just so addicting and at times challenging. You add a blob bunny to that and you have a fun time on your hands! Awesome job!🦊Thank you for checking it out!! And I'll find some time later to check out your gameplay video hopefully 💚
Amazing little puzzler! Just keep up the good work, game already feels and looks amazing.
🐭thank you!!
