020525 Blobun Patch


🦊Howdy! Coming at you today with a patch build to Blobun to fix up some of the issues with the builds from a few days ago (as it goes.) Here's the patch notes:

===== IMPROVED =====

  • The mouse cursor (as well as the path drawing cursor) will now disappear if you don't move the mouse for a while.
  • However, if you use gamepad controls, the mouse will immediately disappear now.
  • Generic Lock blocks now have an animation for when you unlock them.
  • The intro story art has been updated. It's still not finalized, but at least it's not sketches now.

===== CHANGED =====

  • Removed the "Screen under construction" messages from the World and Stage select screens.
  • "All World" achievements will now only be given for official worldpaks, and will only be given if you're playing the correct one.
  • [Linux] Removed the Gamepad rumble options, as rumble doesn't work there anyways (due to Gamemaker limitations.)

===== BUG FIXES =====

  • Fixed a bug where, starting the puzzle while looking sad and then moving while sprinting, and then undoing, would cause Stephanie to go back to being sad.
  • Fixed a bug where the "You've unlocked the next world!" prompt would show if you beat all the stages in the demo. (There's only one world.)
  • You can no longer use the mouse to interact with menus in the background when a popup message is being displayed.
  • Objects in the background of "Machinery" type stages will no longer make noise on the stage select screen.
  • Fixed a bug where clicking in the tile right next to Stephanie sometimes wouldn't make her move into that tile.
  • Fixed some depth issues with the Generic Lock blocks.
  • Generic Keys placed directly next to Generic Locks can now work on those locks (this didn't come up in the puzzles we made, but it still was a thing. Though, the key being right by the lock doesn't make for a good puzzle anyways.)
  • When restarting the puzzle, the game will no longer show the stage name for a little bit again.
  • You can no longer get a sneak peak of puzzles you haven't unlocked yet by swapping between worlds on the Stage Select screen.
  • Fixed a bug related to setting what input glyphs will show up, where it would show the wrong entry (this bug was with the settings visuals only, the actual setting worked fine.)
  • [Linux] Fixed Z-fighting issues on 3D puzzle elements (if you noticed white flickery garbage on the Fire State powerup, that's what it was that was fixed.)

===== KNOWN BUGS =====

  • Once in a while, undoing the very first step of the puzzle doesn't affect some puzzle elements, but we're not able to reliably reproduce it. If you figure out a way, let us know, as this causes the puzzle to be desynced!
  • There's still some quirks with the menus and whatnot when it comes to mouse controls. There's some we know about (like how scrolling is broken on long menus,) but feel free to reach out anyways!
